KANPUR:Additional district and sessions judge (court number XI), having powers of MP/ MLA court, on Thursday directed the police department and mobile service provider company to keep secured the call and location details of accused Mohd Sharif, Rizwan Solanki and SP MLA Irfan Solanki of November 7, 2022.
The court would deliver the orders separately as per law when the defence would make a submission to summon them as defence evidence at the time of defence evidence stage.
According to additional district government counsel, Bhaskar Mishra, accused Mohd Sharif , Rizwan Solanki and Irfan Solanki have moved an application before the court to summon the call details of their mobile phones dated November 7, 2022.
They had alleged in their application that the investigation officer had collected call details of their mobile phones and submitted its report to the surveillance cell, East Zone. This fact has been disclosed in a case diary memo.
The ADGC said that prosecution had strongly opposed that any evidence which could be used for the defence of the accused could not be summoned in the court. Therefore, their application was liable to be rejected.
The accused are facing trial in several criminal cases, including the arson case of Jajmau.
